Promise 6 of 15

Oopbuy's 90-Day Free Storage promise, read against the Storage page

This is the one promise on the homepage strip that its clause states in the same words. The detail sits in when the clock starts, what happens to unmatched parcels, and what happens on day 91.

Storage time does not give you extra return time

Check each warehouse item when it arrives. The normal storage period is 90 days from “received”; abnormal parcels are described separately as 30 days from “signed for”. The return request window is usually much shorter and depends on seller eligibility: five days / 120 hours from the next whole hour after “Stocked in”.

If one item arrives while another seller has not shipped, review the first item’s QC now. Waiting to inspect the whole haul together can leave its return window closed even though it still has storage time. Record both deadlines and ask support when the account status is unclear.

Extension terms carry expiry and disposal risk and are not identical across the dated help pages below. Confirm whether an extension is available for your item before relying on it.

90-Day Free Storage

Homepage, "Why Choose Oopbuy?" strip

The clause

The normal storage period for purchasing and transporting packages on behalf of others is 90 days, calculated from the order status of "received".

Between the two

  • The clock starts at the order status "received", the moment the warehouse logs the parcel.
  • You get an email before the period expires.
  • If no waybill is submitted and no feedback given after 90 days, the goods are "considered as giving up" and disposed of.
  • Destroyed goods are not notified again.

The homepage, the Storage page and the Beginner's Guide all say 90 days. The Beginner's Guide puts it as "We provide 90 days of free storage service for your goods". On this promise the texts agree, which is why it carries the only Matching clause status in the ledger.

Three Oopbuy pages, one number: 90 days.

Agreement on the headline does not settle the details. The Storage page says what starts the clock and what ends it. Both details change how much time you actually have.

What 90 days looks like on a real order

Bar chart of the 90 free days, one 30-day paid extension, 30 days for abnormal parcels, and seller and domestic transit time before the clock starts
The storage clock, per item.

The clock starts per order, at "received", not at payment and not when the first item of a haul arrives. Items bought on different days have different deadlines. The oldest item in your warehouse sets the date by which the whole parcel has to go, unless you ship in parts.

Seller shipping eats into the plan before the clock even starts. The purchasing instructions say Chinese sellers usually ship within 3 to 7 days; domestic transit to Xiamen is usually 3 to 5 days, according to the inspection page. A haul built over a month can easily put 40 days between its first and last arrival.

Plan the parcel from the first arrival date, not the last.

90-Day Free Storage

Homepage strip

The clause

If your package has exceeded the 90-day free storage period, you can extend the storage period at a cost of 10 CNY per 30 days.

Storage page, item 3

Between the two

  • The Customized logistics services page allows one extension only, 10 CNY, at most 30 days, total 120 days; after that the sub-order is marked "Abandoned".
  • Other Oopbuy pages describe the period after day 90 in further ways, including a six-month figure.
  • The promise itself only covers the free 90 days. What it costs to go past them is a separate question the pages answer differently.
Customized logistics services text: only one extension is allowed, at 10 CNY, maximum 30 days, total 120 days, then Abandoned
Customized logistics services, read 15 October 2026.

The homepage promise ends at day 90, so the versions that follow are outside the promise strictly speaking. They still matter, because the Storage page's own item 1 says unclaimed goods are treated as abandoned once the period ends.

The safe plan uses the strictest version: ship by day 90, or extend once and ship by day 120. Anything longer depends on which page support follows for your account, and that is worth asking in writing before you rely on it.

Parcels that match no order get 30 days

What makes a parcel abnormal and what follows
How an item can fall outside the 90 days.

Item 2 of the Storage page covers abnormal packages: parcels signed for by the warehouse but missing logistics information, or that cannot be matched to an order and a user. They keep 30 days from the status "signed for", and because they cannot be matched, the page says no reminders can be sent.

This is how a correctly bought item can be lost without anyone being careless on purpose. A seller who ships without the tracking number your order expects can leave the parcel unmatched. If an item shows as shipped by the seller but has not appeared in your warehouse within the usual 3 to 5 days, raise it in the order chat; the inspection page suggests the same.

How to plan storage around the promise

Storage plan from day 0 to day 85 for the oldest item
Planning back from the oldest item.

Write down the "received" date of every item as it lands. Set a reminder at day 75 for the oldest one; that gives you two weeks to pick a route, pay shipping and, if you want it, book rehearsal packing (20 RMB per parcel, value-added services page read 10 October 2026).

If you are waiting on one slow item, consider shipping the rest first. A second parcel costs a second declaration fee of generally ¥8 and a second first-weight charge, which is usually less than losing an item to the clock.

Perishable goods have a shorter life than the storage period. The Storage page says shelf life is outside its responsibility and gives one month for perishables as an example.
