Promise 3 and 4 of 15
Oopbuy's quality inspection promise, and what the inspection page covers
The homepage strip shows a Quality Inspection badge. Since mid-October the How to Buy block adds "a full QC inspection". The Inspection Information page lists what the check includes and, in three notes, what it leaves out.
The badge and the inspection scope
Matching clause, with limits
The promise
Quality Inspection (homepage badge). "After payment, we buy and ship your items to our warehouse for a full QC inspection."
Homepage strip and How to Buy, step 2
The clause
We will verify and inspect the quantity, color, size and other specifications of the products.
Inspection Information, read 15 Oct 2026
Between the two
- Every inbound package is opened for a prohibited-items check, weighed and stored.
- Inspection covers quantity, colour, size and other label specifications.
- Colour difference, size error and usage effect are outside the scope.
- For electrical and digital goods, quality, model and spare parts are outside the scope.
- Sealed CDs, handmade and adult products are not opened; only the outside is checked.
The homepage badge carries a numeric prefix before the words Quality Inspection. We quote the words only. In this market that prefix is shorthand used for copies of branded goods, and Oopbuy's own Shopping Guidelines prohibit counterfeit goods, so we leave it out rather than reprint it.

"Size" appears on both sides of the inspection page, which is worth reading slowly. Inspectors verify that the size label matches what you ordered; whether the garment actually measures what the label says is the "size error" the notes exclude. The same applies to colour: the colour variant is checked, small colour difference is not.
What sits outside the inspection
The three notes at the bottom of the Inspection Information page are the most specific text Oopbuy publishes about its warehouse check. They are worth quoting in full, because each one removes a kind of problem a buyer might expect the badge to catch.

Note a takes out colour difference, size error and usage effect. Note b takes out quality, model and spare parts for electrical appliances, digital products and peripherals. Note c keeps sealed CDs, handmade and adult products sealed. Put together: the warehouse confirms you received the right item in the right variant, undamaged on the outside. Fit, performance and authenticity are outside what it checks.
"A full QC inspection" and the photos you receive
Matching clause, with limits
The promise
After payment, we buy and ship your items to our warehouse for a full QC inspection.
Homepage, How to Buy, step 2 (new between 10 and 15 Oct 2026)
The clause
The photos provided for regular inspection are generally three, which are ordinary pixel photos taken from the front, back, and side (or logo) of the product
Fine Photography page, read 15 Oct 2026
Between the two
- Standard QC photos are free (Customized logistics services page).
- Measurements such as shoe length, insole length, trouser length and garment width are a Custom QC Service.
- Detailed photos cost 1 RMB each (value-added services, read 10 Oct 2026).
- "Full" is not defined on any page we read.
The word "full" arrived with the How to Buy block, which was not on the homepage when we first read it on 10 October 2026. The inspection page did not change between our two readings. So the new promise points to an existing standard: the three-photo regular inspection, with paid options on top.

"Generally three" also leaves room. It is the typical count, not a minimum. If you need a particular angle, a label, a stitch or a measurement, ask for it through the paid services before you rely on the free set.
A delivery page that promises more
Matching clause, with limits
The promise
We guarantee the quality of our goods: if there are any color, size or other visible defects, they will be detected and dealt with immediately.
Delivery Time page, read 15 Oct 2026
The clause
a. Color difference, size error, and usage effect are not within the scope of inspection
Inspection Information, Notes
Between the two
- Two Oopbuy pages speak about colour and size defects in different terms.
- The Delivery Time page says such defects will be detected; the inspection page excludes colour difference and size error from the check.
- The Delivery Time page adds that colour variation caused by "pixel issues" in product images is not Oopbuy's responsibility.
- We do not decide which page governs. If it matters to your order, ask support which standard applies and keep the reply.

This pair is the clearest case on the site of two clauses that read differently. One page, under the heading Delivery Time, says colour and size defects will be found and sent back to the supplier. The page whose job is inspection says colour difference and size error are outside its scope.
A charitable reading is that "visible defects" means obvious ones: the wrong colour variant, the wrong size label. That fits both pages. But it is our reading, not Oopbuy's text, and the safer course is to act as if only the narrower page applies.
1688 orders follow a different standard

Step 5 of the Beginner's Guide, under the tip about photos, includes one line that is easy to miss: "Products purchased from 1688 will comply with different quality control standards." The guide does not say what the differences are, and we found no page that does.
1688 is a wholesale marketplace, so listings often come in larger quantities and with fewer photos than Taobao. If you order from 1688, use the order chat before payment to ask which checks will apply, and request detailed photos for anything you cannot judge from a listing.
How to check QC photos when they arrive
QC means the warehouse’s incoming check and photographs. Open the photos as soon as you see “Stocked in”, and compare them with your saved source listing and order options. A top view can answer some questions; it cannot establish fit, authenticity, fabric composition or electronic performance.

- Match the order. Check quantity, colour variant, size label, accessories and packaging against what you selected.
- Inspect visible condition. Look at seams, prints, hardware, soles and corners. Lighting can change colour; ask for another angle if that changes your decision.
- Ask a precise question. “Please measure this T-shirt flat, armpit to armpit and shoulder to hem, with the tape visible.” A requested photo should resolve one uncertainty.
- Decide and record. Keep it if the evidence answers your checks; query it if evidence is missing; request a return if it is wrong and eligible. Do not ship while a relevant question remains unanswered.
The return request window is conditional: five days / 120 hours counted from the next whole hour after “Stocked in”, with seller eligibility and resale conditions. Check the return conditions even if storage has many days remaining.
When the inspection finds a problem

The purchasing instructions describe what happens next: if inspection or the buyer finds a quality issue, the shopping agent checks with the seller and helps negotiate. The inspection page adds that goods unfit for air transport get a special mark and a reminder to arrange a return.
Neither text promises a refund. Outcomes depend on the seller's return terms and on whether the item was in the 5-day guarantee. That is why the return window matters more than the badge: the badge describes a check, the window decides whether the check can lead anywhere.
